To start the communication with the instruments, the system offers two possibilities:

- Click on the menu item Communication and then on the item Start. To access this item faster, the user can use the shortcut CTRL+L;

- Click on the Turn on button that appears in the right corner of the Toolbar. When the communication is turned on, the Start button transforms into a Stop button.

If the "Automatically start communication on system startup" is checked in the Configuration Options, the system will turn on the communication automatically whenever it starts up.

And if the option "Search for new instruments on communication startup" is selected, the system will start searching for new stations as soon as the communication is started.
