LOCAL: must be installed on the computer to which the controllers are connected through a serial converter (CONV32, CONV96, CONV256 or TCP485). In other words, it must be installed close to the controllers.

REMOTE: must be installed on the computer that will conduct the remote management, via the internet, communicating with the Local Module. It can be installed at home, on a PC, on any other computer you wish.

MOBILE: manages facilities via cell phone, smartphones or tablet, communicating with the local module.

Sitrad uses encrypted data transmission for its three modules (Local, Remote and Mobile). That is, only the software modules understand the data transmitted between computers, providing safe data management.

The LOCAL module works perfectly connectionless with Internet. However, the REMOTE module, that is used for the on-line management, demands the Internet use, even for to send mobiles and e-mails alarms.

With this application installed on mobile phones, you can manage installations remotely, intervening and changing variables or functions of the controllers in industrial, commercial and residential systems. The data received by the Sitrad are recorded in files with format of database (files with extension .db), bringing greater integrity to the collected dices and agility at the time of analyzing them.

Yes, it has visual alarms, formed for recording in sonorous alarm and/or text file, emitted through the teller of sound of the computer. Also it sends electronic mails of alert for cellular and registered electronic directions, case the parameters leave the formed limits.

The collected data to date of the energy fall are safe in the database of the Sitrad with total security.

Sitrad uses encrypted data transmission for its three modules (Local, Remote, and Mobile). The IP (a kind of identity of the computer used), the user, and the time stamp are stored for all accesses to the Local server module, which allows checking those who have accessed the controllers and when.
Sitrad uses TCP/IP communication (the same protocol used in the Internet) through the port 5001 (it is possible to change to another port). In order to ensure greater safety to your installation, however, it is recommended to set the internet modem and Windows firewall for restricted access to the port being used by the Local module, so that only Sitrad's executable (SitradLocal.exe) can communicate through the port enabled to the software. Usually the person in charge for the computer network in your company makes that setup.

1. The IP number (computer identity) that you are trying to access does not exist. In this case, check the correct IP number of the server.
2. Both the computer with the LOCAL module and the computer with the REMOTE module may not have internet access. Check your connection.
3. Port 5001 of the server is not available for access. Check with your network provider so that this port is made available.

The connection point is the CONV32 or CONV256 Interface, a converter that allows for this exchange of data between the controllers and the computer, allowing the data to be read by the software. Its function is to convert the computer’s RS-232 standard serial communication signal to the RS-485 standard of the controllers. The controllers are linked to the Interface and this, in turn, is connected to the computer through a communication port (COM1, COM2…). CONV 32 communicates with up to 256 Full Gauge Controllers and the CONV256 up to 256.

The junction box is used to interconnect the instruments to the communication network, and has internal protection to reduce the noise coming from motors, electric cables, power line fluctuations, among others.

The maximum distance of the controllers in relation to the CONV32 or CONV256 Interface is 1,000 meters.

The CONV32 interface permits a connection of up to 32 Full Gauge controllers to the serial output, regardless of the model, gauging variable and number of sensors that the controller uses.

Sitrad does not support two instruments (controllers) with the same address number in the RS-485 network, even when they are in different converters. In other words, if you have two Ethernet converters and there are two instruments connected to each of them, the first two must, for example, have addresses “1” and “2” of the RS-485 network and the instruments of the second converter must have addresses “3” and “4”, so as not to generate instrument address conflicts in Sitrad.

Now, should you wish to register the converter in a Local Sitrad that is outside of the network, that is, through the internet, the two converters must be registered in Sitrad manually with the external network IP address. As externally the two converters will use the same external IP address, it is necessary to configure its communication ports and configuration with different values among the converters. These ports must be correctly redirected in the settings of the network modem.

When there is more than one instrument in the network it is necessary for the last function to be altered. This function states: address of the equipment in the RS-485 network.

If it is not altered, the instruments will have the same addresses, thus, they will not communicate. Thus, prior to activating Sitrad, it is necessary to alter the instrument address, entering different values for each controller, such as 001, 002, 016, etc., for example.

How is a computer with a dynamic IP accessed remotely?
It is not necessary to be re-setting up constantly the number of IP in the Sitrad Remote. Not even to contract a static IP service.
There are some programs that allow to a user to access a computer without needing to know his number of IP, like for example the DynDNS. To use it, you'll need to download the program (by clicking on the link above) and to install it in the computer where the Sitrad Local is.

Sitrad Mobile operates perfectly on tablets that use Google Android and Apple iOS (iPhone, iPad, iPod, iPod Touch, etc.) operating systems. On tablets that use Microsoft Windows, you must install the Sitrad Remote

You can back up the information directly on the computer that has Sitrad Local installed; however, for greater safety, we recommend you also direct your backup to other computers or to a "cloud" (Cloud Computing), that is, a server that is located outside of the environment where Sitrad Local is and that is accessed through the internet.

Here are four suggestions for software ideal for backing up. Two are for sale and two are free. However, the two for sale are for online backup, in other words, the files are stored in the "cloud" and can be accessed from anywhere.

Another option is the site DropBox (www.dropbox.com) that provides 2 GB of storage space in the cloud. They provide a program that when installed on the computer creates a virtual network map. For instance ‘F:’. All files placed in this map are automatically loaded to your DropBox account on the internet.

After installing the DropBox program, simply install a backup program or use the actual Windows 7 backup program to save the Sitrad data in this virtual network map created by DropBox.

Remember, to know where Sitrad is saving the data you must access the menu “File > Data Management > Configuration” in Sitrad.

Viewer is very simple to configure. It is like Sitrad Remote that accesses a number of Sitrad Local.
It is only a little different from Sitrad Local and Remote because before starting to use it you need to create a data file, where you will save the configurations of the servers you will access. It is like in Word, where you have the Word installation but need to create a file to really use it.
After creating the file that will connect the configurations, you register a number of servers (Sitrad Local) and if you choose you can create a group to group servers per purpose.
26. What could be happening if the message: “It was not possible to establish a connection with the server” appears in Sitrad Remote?

It may be for one of the following reasons:
- The IP number (computer identity) that you are trying to access does not exist. In this case, check the correct IP number of the server.
- Both the computer with the LOCAL module and the computer with the REMOTE module may not have internet access. Check your connection.
- Port 5001 of the server is not available for access. Check with your network provider so that this port is made available.
- The server (via port 5001) is not directed to the computer running Sitrad Local.

A few tips to solve the problem:
Follow a few more tips:

* Check if Sitrad Remote is accessing the Full Gauge tests server normally. If it is, then everything is ok with the Remote machine.
* Next, try connect to Sitrad Local from within the network it is installed in using the computer’s internal IP (normally the number begins with 10 or 192). You can also install Sitrad Remote in the actual machine and access using the local IP (127.0.0.1). This test will inform you if Sitrad Local is accepting connections. To the contrary, a firewall may be blocking it;
* Test the connection from outside the internal network, using the internet. Before using the DDNS, test using the external IP. To do so access the site www.dropbox.com on the Sitrad Local computer and see what the external IP of the network is (normally something beginning with 200, 201 or 187, for Brazil). If it does not work, you need to enter the Internet Modem configurations and implement an NAT configuration to redirect the communication in the modem’s 5001 port to the 5001 port of the computer that Sitrad is installed on.
